K18REPAIR™ Pro Certification Contest (“Contest”)
These are the Rules for the K18, Inc. (“Company”) K18REPAIR™ Pro Certification Contest.
Eligibility: This contest is open to all professional hairstylists (“Entrants”) who have reading fluency in English or Spanish and who reside in the United States, Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Palestinian Territory, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, or United Kingdom.
This contest is subject to prohibitions in the various countries, states, provinces, territories, and possessions of those countries, and subject to the further requirements of these Rules. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Company’s (and its affiliates’ and subsidiaries’) employees, and their families are not eligible to enter or win. Description of Contest: The contest is measured by successful completion of, and certification or recertification via, Company’s pro certification course, available at https://www.k18proeducation.com/pages/get-certified. Successful receipt of certification, which requires 80% correct answers through each and all certification course modules, will determine the winners. The incentive begins on July 15, 2024 at 06:00 am Pacific Time (USA) and ends on August 31, 2024 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time (USA). At the start of, and throughout, the applicable contest period, Entrants can log into https://www.k18proeducation.com/pages/get-certified to take the pro certification course and exam. The first 1,000 Entrants to obtain pro certification through the pro certification course described herein will receive a gift/prize, as described more fully below. Company or its representatives will fulfill all gifts/prizes by September 30, 2024.
How to Enter: To enter, Entrants should log onto https://www.k18proeducation.com/pages/get-certified and follow the instructions/prompts provided. Successful completion of the above-described pro certification course and obtaining certification, as described above, is required for eligibility. Each Entrant is limited to one (1) entry in this K18REPAIR™ Pro Certification Contest.
Prize Description: The first 1,000 professional hair stylists to obtain pro certification through the above-described pro certification course will receive one (1) 300-ml K18 professional molecular repair hair mist and one (1) 150-ml K18 molecular repair leave-in mask, for a total gift/prize value of $168 USD. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included in the gift/prize and are solely the winning Entrant’s/s’ responsibility. No reward substitutions, cash equivalent or transfer of rewards permitted except at the sole discretion of Company. Company is not responsible for lost or mis-delivered gifts/prizes due to Entrant's inaccurate or improper address information.
Winners must provide a valid mailing address for delivery of the prize.
Internet: If, for any reason, Company is unable to conduct this contest as planned due to technical failures, such as those caused by a computer virus, hacking, other unauthorized interference, fraud, or any other cause beyond the control of Company which obstructs or otherwise adversely affects the proper administration, reliability, fairness, or integrity of the contest, Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry, and any person found to have interfered or tampered with the incentive, and if deemed necessary by Company in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. Company assumes no responsibility for any failure in transmission, however caused, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, communications line failure, theft or destruction of information or unauthorized access to entries, their damage or alteration. Company is not responsible for its failure to receive any email or entry due to software failure, technical problems, human error or transmission congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an Entrant's, or any other person's, computer relating to or resulting from participation in this incentive or downloading of any materials in this incentive.
CAUTION: COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER PENALTIES, OR REMEDIES, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FROM ANY PERSON(S) ATTEMPTING TO DELIBERATELY INTERFERE WITH THE CONDUCT OF THIS INCENTIVE OR TO DAMAGE ANY TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST.
Release: By participating in this incentive, all Entrants and reward winners release, discharge, and hold harmless Company, Coassemble, and their partnerships, subsidiaries, divisions, branches, affiliates, assigns and agencies, including, without limitation, their respective officers, directors, shareholders and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability or claims for any and all legal claims, injury, loss, illness, litigation or damages arising out of their participation in the contest and/or the acceptance, use, misuse, non-use or possession of the gift/prize. Any portion of the gift/prize not accepted by the Winner(s) will be forfeited, and the Released Parties are not responsible for any inability of the Winner(s) to accept or use the gift(s)/prize(s) (or portion thereof) for any reason. Released Parties are not responsible for printing or typographic errors in any contest or related material or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, postage due, and/or illegible entries or mail.
General Conditions: All applicable laws apply. Company is the final interpreter of these Rules. The decisions of Company are final in all matters relating to the Rules.
Disputes: Any and all disputes arising from or associated with the contest, including the award of prizes, will be addressed solely in a binding arbitration proceeding conducted at JAMS and in compliance with the JAMS procedures and rules. Any such arbitration will occur in the JAMS office closest to Los Angeles, California, USA. The parties will bear their own costs in any arbitration or other proceeding.
