The thing about conditioner is, it coats your hair to make detangling (or dramatically running your fingers through it) a total breeze. But the film it leaves behind prevents our K18Peptide™ from penetrating the cuticle and reaching the innermost layers of the hair. So, it can’t get to the broken polypeptide (keratin) chains to renew your hair’s core strength + elasticity. Yikes.
This brings us back to the whole “skip the conditioner” thing.
A clean canvas helps our patented peptide do its magic, so make sure to clarify any buildup before your first time trying K18. Once the 4-minute activation period is up (and the K18Peptide™ has successfully penetrated the cuticle), feel free to comb + style hair as usual. If you want to apply a leave-in, be our guest.
