Local collection members exchange the plastic they collect for secure income and life-improving benefits such as health insurance, meal vouchers, school supplies, and more. The collected plastic is then reprocessed into Social Plastic® feedstock for reuse in products and packaging, reintroducing them into the global manufacturing supply chain.

how K18 supports Plastic Bank 

Our partnership with Plastic Bank ensures every purchase of K18 helps stop ocean plastic, and we help Plastic Bank reimagine ocean plastic as a resource. Instead of polluting our waterways, this collected plastic gets reintroduced into the global manufacturing supply chain. Also, collectors in vulnerable coastal communities get paid immediate, above-market bonuses to help create a path out of poverty for them and their families. 

We’ve already made a difference, impacting 560 collectors in 16 coastal communities all over the world. We’re pushing our sustainability goals even further in collaboration with Plastic Bank.
